CheckMate Savings Account

The CheckMate Savings account is an account for our clients who also have checking accounts at Peoples First Community Bank. All deposits are made through the checking account. Our CheckMate Savings account is a great place to "park" surplus funds when ready access to your money and a good rate of interest are essential. Or, if you're just building your cash reserves, this account was created especially for you.

When your balance is $5,000 or more, your CheckMate Savings account will earn comparably to money market rates of interest. CheckMate Savings requires that you have a Peoples First Checking Account. It only takes $100 to get one started and as long as you maintain a balance of at least that amount, there's never a monthly service charge.

What do I need to bring with me to open an account?
Stop by your local Peoples First Community Bank office where our Customer Service representatives will be happy to assist you in opening up your CheckMate Savings account. You will need to bring your Florida driver's License or Florida ID and your Social Security card. You will also need to have the minimum to open amount deposit with you.

Will I be charged for this account?
The Peoples First Community Bank CheckMate Savings account does not have a monthly service charge if the account balance does not fall below $100. You may incur charges for using your ATM card at locations other than Peoples First Community Bank's ATM machines.
